Does Lincs forwarding accept bookings to PO Box Numbers?
No we are unable to deliver to a PO box we require a full mail address including a post/area code but sometimes we can obtain this information from other sources.
Are transit times guaranteed?
We would always give you the most up to date information but sometimes delays outside our control can occur but we would keep you advised.
What is the maximum weight and size limits for a package?
The best guide is to pack into cardboard cartons/boxes that you can lift with size of 60 x 60 x 60 cms but we will be pleased to advise you on all packing matters.
What is volumetric weight?
This is the weight calculated on the actual volume of the shipment. The volume can be calculated by multiplying the Length x Width x Height and then dividing by usually 6000*.
Example: 60 x 60 x 60 cms give a volume of 216000, then divide by 6000* = a volumetric weight of 36 kilos. So if your package weighed less than 36 kilos you would be charged for 36 kilos.
* This figure can vary for courier type deliveries.
How do I weigh my parcel?
In the absence of any proper parcel scales you can get a good indication of a small package by using a set of bathroom scales.
Can I estimate the weight/dimensions of my parcel?
Yes that will allow us to give you an indication of cost but you will charged on the actual weight and dimensions when it is shipped.
How do I change or cancel a booking request?
Please send us an email at least 24 hours (working days) to cancel a booking. After that time you may incur a cancellation charge for a wasted journey.
Can I have my parcel collected from my place of work?
Yes we can collect from any UK address but appreciate that it will be Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. We will advise which day but cannot give a time. Packages must be fully secured and down any stairs.
How do I track my parcel?
We will give you a booking reference and you can use this to track through our web site.
Do I have to be present when the courier calls to collect my parcel, or can I leave it in a safe place?
Yes as it is always advisable that you obtain a signature from the driver which if necessary you can use as proof of collection.
What do I do if the courier refuses collection of my parcel?
Call us immediately before the driver leaves.
My parcel was delivered damaged. How do I make a claim?
If your parcel is delivered damaged please try and obtain a photograph and also ask the receiver to endorse the drivers delivery note “Received Damaged”. Please advise us immediately.
